Who is Michael Beitler?
Dr. Michael Beitler (pronounced Bite-ler) began his 30-year career with KPMG, one of the world's largest consulting firms. While at KPMG, Mike had the opportunity to work with a client list that included the world's best companies, both domestic and international.
After leaving KPMG, Mike started his own consulting practice in Washington, DC. After three short years, Mike was offered an executive position at a southeastern bank (one of his clients).
Mike said the decision to join the bank was an easy one. He told a colleague, "I have spent my entire career as a consultant to senior management. Now I want to see if I can succeed as a senior manager. I want to challenge my skills on the other side of the desk." Mike was quickly promoted to Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he was responsible for strategic planning, investments, accounting, management development, and organizational development.
After ten years in banking, Mike orchestrated a re-structuring that dramatically increased the bank's value as a takeover target. When the bank was acquired, he was rewarded with a generous severance package.
In the years that followed, Mike built a successful training and consulting practice specializing in organizational effectiveness.
Since the publishing of his first book, Strategic Organizational Change, Mike has been in demand as a keynote speaker. He has worked with clients in North America, Europe, and Asia.
